Kostana Banovic. 2001

Kostana Banovic was born in Jugoslavia but lives currently in the Netherlands. Banovic- who’s specialized in community art and movie making – came to Rauma for two months in order to search local people’s stories and memories about everyday rituals, and memories attached to different objects and places. Her exhibition was held in Rauma Art Museum and consisted of lace, 41 beans, fabric and narrating voice telling the gathered stories. The opening of the exhibition was made in collaboration with two lacemakers; Sirkka Saloma and Johanna Pohjola.
