Sophie Lowe. 2002

Sophie Lowe from London came to direct workshops for schoolkids where the children learnt to make ceramic objects. Finnish nature as a theme the students sculpted many Finnish animals from clay and also got to learn about ancient South-American cultures. Lowe is interested in bird-figures and she uses birds in decorating her ceramics. Collaboration with Rauma Adult Education Centre was one part of the residency.
