Margaret Tutty. Expression in Figurative Art, 1999.

Tutty was chosen to be a guest artist via an Irish cooperation partner Tallaght Community Arts Centre. She was chosen through an interview to hold a workshop in chalk drawing, frottage technique and graphic procedures used in Ireland. Interested in animation art, the artist also worked as a jury member in the Blue Sea Film Festival’s Baltic Herring -video competition during her time in Rauma.

During her time in Finland the artist also visited Jyväskylä to print her exceptionally large graphic prints and drawings made in Rauma. The works required a specific press. Before her departure from Finland the works were seen in her studio apartment in an exhibition called “Open Studio”.
